Strawberries are First planted in the Pajaro Valley, for sale in local Californian markets.

The Driscoll's story begins all the way back in the 1870's when Joseph 'Ed' Reiter and Dick Driscoll grew their very first strawberries in California. Sunshine, water, and lots of love and hard work were enough to produce the most delicious fruits they ever tasted. News of their success travelled quickly, and local farmers began to take an interest in joining the guys. Together, they started selling their sweet, sensational strawberries under the Driscoll's label, a name that had become known as a mark of quality and collaboration.
